The average computer user has to log into any number of secure sites on a given day. At work, you might have different programs to access company information, stock and product levels, perhaps a program to charge credit cards, a different program to verify checks and another set of programs entirely to ship a package using different carriers. Even if you don’t work sales, you will undoubtedly need to access data from a variety of sources, each of which might contain sensitive material and each with its own pass code.

At home, you order supplies, products and services online, pay your mortgage, utility bills, bills for your cable and internet providers. You do your banking online. You contact friends, watch movies and play games. Each of these sites requires a login and password.

Ideally, you should have a different password for each of these sites. It’s best if each of those passwords is something that can’t be tracked to you with personal information. And to keep these passwords from prying eyes, you should not write them down.

So why don’t you? Because, essentially, it’s impossible. With multiple email addresses and login names, each of us has tried to log onto an internet site and had to try to remember "What user name did I use for this?" and "What password did I use for this?" Then you have to click the "Forgot password" or "Forgot User Name" link, if they have one. They might get back to you quickly. It might take days.

Logaway is known as a portable password manager that sets up a system where all your usernames and passwords are stored in highly encrypted password security and organized in a way that you give you simple access to what you need, when you need it. Instead of needing dozens of passwords, you need only one. And you can be certain that you’ll remember at least one!
